Sorry to traumatize everyone further about Buffy #34.  But I just remembered a great quote from Jim Emerson's review of the film Bruno:

If those screwball lovers Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner ever hooked up and had sex, they'd do it the way Brüno and his "pygmy" paramour do in "Brüno": with ACME slingshots, projectiles, champagne bottles and a customized Rube Goldberg device that appears to have been built with materials from Home Depot by George Clooney's character in "Burn After Reading."
Mountains and space and underwater, with reaction shots of boiling fish and angry leopards, aren't quite slingshots, but they still signal "comedy" to me (maybe with a little plausible deniability for those in the bubble for whom 8.34 is the height of True Love).

I said on s'kat's journal that I was mostly going to avoid others' comments until I've processed this issue.  Well, I still will probably stay away from most discussion (though not all--I'm weak after all).  But a few quck comments (not really negative, so if you hated this issue with a fiery passion and would hate anyone who liked it you can skip it :)  ), under the cut:

Balance is important. A lot of people don't take that into account. --Anya, "Storyteller" )
